Qlik September release 2020 — the new Qlik Sense features

German is currently not yet supported as an input language, but this will certainly be available in one of the next versions.

Another new feature of the “insight generator” is that several different chart types, such as the dot chart, are included in the results, for example to directly display correlations in the data

The Insight Chat

The SaaS version of Qlik Sense now includes the “Insight Advisor Chat” — an NLP (Natural Language Processing) sensitive conversation feature. In addition, the “Business Logic Layer” can be used to add additional logics such as groupings or metadata to give the data more structure and thus improve the behavior of the Insight Advisor or to support its training.

In the September 2020 release, there are also some visualization improvements. For example, individual reference lines can be included in bar and line charts, for example, to mark specific events over time on the X-axis of a diagram.

A nice feature for presentations is the function of the animated loop or loop of an object, known from Tableau and other tools.

Run time series automatically and easily identify changes in the visualizations.

In this way, you can automatically select the individual values of a time series or any dimension one by one and run like a movie.

Integrated clustering with k-means function

With the fall edition of Qlik Sense, new advanced analytics functions were also integrated, specifically the K-Means algorithm as a grouping function. This allows classifications or groupings to be calculated in Qlik without the need for an extra Python instance or R logic to cluster the data. In particular, this reduces the technical effort of “AI projects” or advanced analytics projects enormously.
